Scott Sanders

Scott Sanders, a nationally known radio and TV voice-over announcer died on April 8, 2026. His career in voice-overs spanned several decades and included many areas of advertising from retail stores to corporate narrations. He voiced national political spots for candidates on both sides of the aisle as well as promotions for The Cartoon Network. Locally, he could be heard promoting KYW news, The Philadelphia Inquirer and many local department stores. He was featured in the New Yorker's Talk of the Town as "The man behind the voice of the 1994 elections", was interviewed by NPR's All Things Considered, The Inquirer and many other publications. For 20 years Scott was a board member and Vice- President of the local AFTRA-SAG chapter. Scott was a man of many talents, He loved playing the piano, and once he sat down at a social event, he gathered requests, picked out tunes by ear, and the singing and dancing went into the night. He developed an aptitude for carpentry and restored his Victorian Home in the Spring Garden Section of the city with his wife Pat- room by room and floor by floor as he honed the skills needed to accomplish the work. He had a passion for gardening and landscaping with Pat, his gardening partner. He never met a rock he didn't want to unearth, relocate or turn into a path or wall at his cottage near Lake Nockamixon in Upper Bucks. There, he spent many hours enjoying nature, building decks and planting shrubs and trees. Scott was irresistibly drawn to dogs. After losing his beloved "all American" breed Meetoo after almost 19 years, he satisfied his romance with canine culture by stopping to pet every dog that trotted his way. He overcame many years of medical challenges, facing them head on with strength and determination. He will be greatly missed by his wife Pat, her sisters Cheryl and Denise, brother-in law, Jon and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
