Ms. Marlene Marie Burke-Rosen

February 4, 1944 - November 10, 2021

Marlene Burke-Rosen passed away on November 10, 2021. She is survived by her daughters Denise Carter, Media Lloyd and husband Mark, and Victoria McGill and husband Mike. She is also fondly remembered by her many friends including her ex-husband, Vince Petraglia. She was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly Petraglia, her 2nd husband Arthur Rosen, and her devoted friend Gunter Mark. Marlene graduated from Hempfield High School in 1961. She started her career at US Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and continued to thrive in corporate roles at institutions including the National Center for the State Courts and Kling Lindquist. Marlene was also a successful entrepreneur and established several businesses including Petraglia's Italian Restaurant, Marlene's Market and Adorable Animals Pet Grooming. She topped off her career by becoming a highly praised Real Estate Agent living in the Fairmount Area of Philadelphia that she truly loved. When not working, Marlene loved to entertain and was a great cook. She played a mean hand of Hold'em and was never afraid to go all-in, at the table and in life. She was a talented seamstress and took joy in tending her plants over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her furry friends, Girlfriend and Tess, as well as all her human friends. She will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church (the Oratory), 2319 Green St., Philadelphia, PA 19130. The family will receive friends at church from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Interment private. Arr. Dinan Funeral Home, Phila., PA. Condolences may also be sent to www.dinanfuneralhome.com
