Mr. Peter Hlywiak Sr.

Peter Hlywiak, Sr., a life long resident of the Fairmount section of Philadelphia passed away on April 20, 2021. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret and his son John. Peter was a patriotic man, having proudly served in WWII as a United States Marine. Peter was very family oriented and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, telling jokes, helping others, taking trips to the shore and spending the day on the beach with his grandchildren. Peter is survived by his children: Peter Jr. (Karen), Margaret M., Joseph (Madeline) and Paul (Joanne); his grandchildren Peter III (Natasha), Alyssa (Michael), Jordon and Taylor; and his great grandchildren; Michael and John. A celebration Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church (The Oratory) located at 2319 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130 on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. The burial will be private.
