Mrs. Rita Card

March 30, 1930 - December 13, 2020

Rita was the devoted wife of the late Benjamin L. Card. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jean DeBacco, two of her sisters, Dorothy Fox and Madeline Fisher, also by two of her brothers William and Donald. She is survived by her daughter Sharon and son-in-law Raymond Sigler. Also by her two grandchildren Kyle and Stacie, and three great-grandchildren Nicholas, Hailey and Oliver, plus by her two brothers Thomas and Michael, and one sister Jeanne, also by her 20 nieces and nephews. Rita retired in 1990 from behind the counter of the Peapack Post Office in New Jersey. She was an active member of her community, for her service in the First Aid Squad (EMT), teaching Art classes at the Matheny School, or as a Church knitter and the Happy Rockers Retirees. She was an oil painter of landscapes and an avid reader. Whenever you hear tunes from the 1940's and 50's think of her humming to the music that she enjoyed daily. Peapack is where she resided for eighty years and most recently in Lansdale, PA. Rita was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Gladstone, New Jersey. There are tentative plans for a Memorial service to be held in the Spring for family and a few close friends.
